Fairmont Hotels has five unique properties throughout British Columbia, from the Chateau Whistler nuzzled up amongst picturesque snow-capped peaks to the Empress Hotel in the historic elegance of our capital city, Victoria. For these five one-of-a-kind properties, Fairmont Hotels asked Janet Helm to create one distinct and unforgettable gift.
The result:
To meet the challenge Janet Helm created a sophisticated and sensual gift celebrating the West and the five individual properties. Nestled inside a hand crafted cedar box was an invitation to 'Experience the Five: A Destination for the Senses.' Five gifts represented the five senses and the five Fairmont properties. Each sense was stimulated through soothing, ocean-inspired instrumental music on a miniature CD, the rich taste of handmade chocolates in First Nations designs, artistic black-and-white photo postcards of BC, the smooth calming coolness of five polished river rocks, and the relaxing scent of a handmade aromatherapy candle infused with the essence of 'Rain'. Our gift was greeted with delight and appreciation, sending lasting message that Fairmont's British Columbia properties are a destination for the senses.
