The objective:
Provide an award to be given to golf legend Jack Nicklaus at the end of the TELUS Skins golf tournament held at Nicklaus North Golf Course, which he designed in Whistler, Canada. The award, unique and different than traditional trophies, needed to reflect Canada's West Coast, yet not be a souvenir piece. It had to be suitable for photo opportunities and ideally would be proudly displayed.
The strategy:
Working with a local glass artist known for his contemporary and stylish glass pieces, a stunning 18" glass plate with hand carved images of salmon and intricately etched maple leaves was the perfect gift for this occasion.
