Teck Gifts

Teck Logo
The objective:
Create a memorable design to honor Dr. Norman Keevil's T. Patrick Boyle Founder's Award and complimentary gifts for Vancouver's Fraser Institute Dinner, celebrating Dr. Keevil's contribution to Teck.

The result:
Choosing Corrine Hunt, co designer of the Olympic medals was the odvious choice for me to be involved in this gift project as it made perfect sense
with Teck being the company who supplied the gold silver and bronze for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic medals. Corrine made an actual silver and gold medal, and we incorporated the artwork into neckties and scarves- a practical and stylish gift. The commissioned artwork was of the Raven and Orca integrating the spirit of Teck, an offering of creativity from the Raven with the sense of the community of the Orca. The lines represent a bold sense of tradition with a keen sense of the present.

Janet's perspective:
" The colours we chose-subtle yet rich blue hues, with a hint of gold piping turned out lovely. Each gift was tastefully gift boxed making it easy for the client to hand out at the event. We included a story card which added the symbolism and meaning behind the gift for each recipient. Deciding to include a private woven label on both the necktie and scarves was a final detail that added the personal touch I wanted to achieve for the gift."
